Join Shannon on Saturday, October 9th for a Wildlife Identification & Outdoor Tracking Adventure !
For our first adventure, join Shannon LeRoy, on Saturday October 9th for a Wildlife Identification & Outdoor Tracking Adventure!  In the first portion of this adventure, hosted at the the Monson Community Center, Shannon, a Registered Maine Guide, will introduce girls to charts and other wildlife tracking tools.  A bus will then transport girls to Mathew's Farm on Elliotsville Road to explore the great outdoors through the eyes of a certified wildlife tracker.

Adventures in Horticulture with Hannah on Saturday, October 23rd at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension! 

Come learn about general garden culture, why the field of horticulture is becoming more important in our global world, and ways everyone can make a difference by growing beautiful gardens. The Adventure Girls will have an opportunity to learn, hands-on, the “art and science” of plant propagation and everyone will take a plant home with them that they have chosen to propagate.

Exploring Wellness & Nutrition with Sydney on Saturday, November 6th at the YMCA in Dover-Foxcroft!

Learn exercises on posture and breathing, followed by activities on nutrition, making your own healthy and delicious smoothies. Sydney and our other Adventure Women presenters will also engage Adventure Girls participants in discussion about being and working in non-traditional fields related, especially those related to math and science.

Adventures in Soils, Bogs & Forests on Saturday, December 4that thePiscataquis Soil & Water Conservation DistrictOfficeinDover-Foxcroft!

Hands on learning about soils, how they are made up and what Soil Conservationist, Leslie Nelson of the Natural Resources Conservation Service does.  Then strap on your boots for a guided walk into the bogs and forests of the area with Beth Postlewaite, PCSWCD Board Supervisor and the Executive Director of The Trust to Conserve Northeast Forestlands where she will discuss the soils and forestry in the field.  If weather conditions are not adequate, we will postpone until Saturday, December 11th or later.
