Piscataquis Santa Project
is serving the children of Greater Piscataquis Area
How You Can
Help:
Dear Organization or
Supporter,
As you may know, the holidays are just around the
corner. The holidays are a busy and exciting time for our local area children. With today’s local economy and
one of the state’s highest unemployment rates, many of our region’s families are finding it hard to meet their
basic needs.
The Piscataquis Santa project is a regional effort to serve the many children
of the greater PiscataquisCounty area during the holiday season. The
Piscataquis Santa project has already started collecting toys, coats, boots, socks, mittens and more to help
meet these needs. This project will offer an online registration for families to register their children that
will open on Sunday, November
1
st and be available until November 20th
. The second part of the project focuses on creating a more effective collection
and distribution system of the items collected. This is accomplished by working with area partners such
as Toys for Tots, Dover-Foxcroft Kiwanis, Three Rivers
Kiwanis, Penquis and Maine’s Best to name
a few.
We are still looking for other organizations,
groups and businesses to join this effort. Here are a few ways you could help the
cause:
· Become a partner
· Become a drop off location
· Run a Piscataquis Santa
Drive
· Make a donation of gifts or cash by calling Penquis, Monday - Friday 8:00 am – 4:30
pm
· Host an employee or volunteer in-house drive
· Offer to volunteer as a Santa’s Helper
· Create a fund raiser for the project.

project move forward or would like additional information, please visit www.piscataquisresources.org or contact
